Introduction


Sree Nataraja School of Nursing came to be established in January 2004. sponsored by Sree Nataraja Prathistana, Sree Hosamath, Mysore is a recognized institution. with the Intake of 60 students per batch and affiliated to Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board, with the Approval of Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, and Karnataka Nursing Council, Bangalore.

Nursing service is one of the main pillars of the health care delivery system in the country, Nursing personnel are vital resource and provide a platform for scaling up health interventions to assist in meeting National Health Targets.


There is a need to prepare our future nurse who are technically competent so that they can provide qualitative nursing service to the patients in the hospital and in the community at large.

Training period and time distribution Duration of the course


The diploma course in General nursing and midwifery(G.N.M.) shall be 3 years and 6months. There will be 12 weeks of preliminary period during which the students will attend the wards for only observation and supervised practice. Syllabus- as prescribed for GNM trances in all three years and internship period.
