Introduction


One of the premier higher educational institutions in Mysore, Sree Nataraja Residential First Grade College for women, was established in the year 1994-95 with on enrollment of only (28) Twenty Eight girl students. Today the strength of the College is over (500) Five Hundred . The College established by Sree Nataraja Prathistana Mysore aims at catering to the higher educational needs of girl students coming from both the rural Mysore and the city of Mysore aswell. The College is backed up by a residential Hostel for the students now accommodating over 350 inmates. The main objective of the college is to provide quality as well as relevant education to our young women so that they are academically, mentally, physically, spiritually and culturally prepared to meet the challenges of modern times. To meet this need of the students the College is fully equipped with the state of the art infrastructure like building, library, computer labs, play ground, seminar hall, auditorium and facilities for indoor and outdoor games.


At Present the College is offering two degree courses, Three Year B.A and B.Com degree Courses, and implementing the regulations laid down by the University of Mysore, addition to some UGC sponsored Add-On-Courses which train our students in specialized skills which will equip them to find placement soon after their graduation.


To meet the academic needs requirement of our students the College has a fully qualified experienced and dedicated team of teachers, Smt. M. Sharada, heading this team as the Principal of the College . At present the library has over (11000)Eleven thousand titles of books. In addition to this the College has subscribed to over 25 news papers, journals and periodicals. Coming to the academic performance of our students, they are getting almost 100% results, consistently during the years preceding. With the active and constructive support of the Management the College is progressing fast from year to year. In fact our Management, motto is : “ To provide every individual student from every stratum of society affordable, relevant, inclusive and quality education.
