Facilities Offered by the College

We offer an academic, sporting, co - curricular and personal development programme that affords the students every opportunity to grow in knowledge, self - confidence, skill and understanding.


Each classroom houses a large area and is designed such that every student gets the lecturer's maximum individual attention.

There are 16 classrooms for regular teaching alone and a number of other rooms like the Audio - Visual rooms and Resource rooms to facilitate better learning.

Ventilated with huge windows, they offer the right atmosphere for learning. The white boards and bulletin boards placed at vantage points, make learning easier and interesting. In addition each classroom is provided with stands for flip charts.

The strength of each class is kept at a manageable level and the comfortable furniture adds to the ambience of the classroom.


Computer education is an integral part of the curriculum at Sree Nataraja Residential First Grade College women, Mysore. . The computer laboratory with number of systems is very popular with the students . Students are trained to learn the latest software applications and programming languages.


The library is the main resource center for the students and the faculty at Sree Nataraja Residential First Grade College , with 11000 books available to student to access with seating capacity for over 150 students.


Reference titles assisting the lecturers in their teaching as well as preparing their study material and worksheets are placed in the library. Latest foreign publications in different subjects help the lecturers to update their knowledge.

Placement Cell :-

At the end of the studies what counts most is the students potential; to be places in the finest organization as a first step towards longer carries development. The placement cell in the College conducts support programmers’ that enhance their chances for a smooth transition from a student to a position the placement Cell holds workshops for the final year students of B.A and B.Com students improve their skills aptitude and academic, fine tune their presentation techniques and network sponsored labor Net India, IFBI, UEIGB and the industry leaders to provide them with the opportunity to find a suitable placement.

Then placement Cell has been successful in bringing the best organizations like Labor Net , ICICI Bank to the campus head hunting and it is a matter of pride that many of our students have found good position best corporate within and outside the Karnataka.


National Service Scheme (NSS) introduced in 2000-2001 in our College is endearing itself to our students from year to year. The total intake of students to our unit is only 100. Keeping the spirit of the NSS, ‘Campus and community service’ our NSS students have all along been doing their best as instruments of change. The unit, besides conducting regular activities in the College campus is also holding Seven-day annual camp in the rural Mysore where our students are exposed to rural life and its problems to which they offer solutions in terms of education and information creating a sense of awareness in rural people. Apart from the regular activities the unit is also engaging in various social issues awareness programmes and collaborated with many NGO’s for said purpose.

This year “2013-14 our 2nd year B.A degree student Kum. Manasa has won the best NSS volunteer award in the district level camp conducted by the University of Mysore, Mysore.


Sports and games are the integral part of the curriculum of the College.Throughout the year our students engage themselves in both outdoor and indoor games. Apart from this our students participate in inter college sport competitions besides the tournaments held at the University and state level competitions . Every year our students keep on winning prizes and trophies continually. In addition to this annual sports festival is a colorful occasion for all the students of the College .We have a fine tradition of honoring and recognizing the sports talent of our students.
